"After extensive research, our findings indicate that confirmed cases of abandoned horses rank somewhere between the number of sightings of the Loch Ness monster and those of Big Foot, but without the solid photographic evidence."

"As always, AHA understands that some of its members will disagree with the position it has taken on Slaughter.
We respect those individuals and their right to hold opposing views.
However, AHA believes that it has acted in the best interest of its breed.

A Regional Director's email response to why board members will not answer the specific question of
how the slaughter endorsement benefits the Arabian Horse:

"The answers that I have provided are acceptable to 90+% of the people I speak with.  Just because the answer is not good enough for you doesn't mean it isn't right for the vast majority.  I can't speak for the rest of the BoD, but I am very comfortable with the acceptance of slaughter as the very last, although repulsive, option."

(AHAMS would ask what other "repulsive" causes this Director supports...)
